Job Description

The Sales Assistant works within established Sales Department guidelines to maximize station revenue opportunities from an order entry, traffic and accounting perspective. The Sales assistant is also responsible for performing all clerical functions required by department personnel as needed.

JOB EXPERIENCE

Responsibilities:
Assist the sales team in creating and preparing presentations for clients, including gathering necessary materials and data.
Enter sales orders accurately and efficiently into the Wide Orbit system, ensuring all details are correct.
Provide administrative support to the sales team, including organizing sales materials, building proposals and presentations, and organizing sales events.
Help with day-to-day sales operations such as helping with prospect lists, setting up sales appointments and organizing sales events.
Collaborate with the sales team to coordinate events and promotional activities.
Serve as a backup for the traffic liaison, assisting with traffic-related tasks as needed, including working a commercial log, uploading commercials etc.
Maintain a high level of professionalism and customer service when interacting with clients, colleagues, and external partners.
Stay informed about industry trends, market developments, and competitor activities to provide valuable insights and support to the sales team.

REQUIREMENTS

Qualifications:
Previous experience in a sales support role or similar position is advantageous.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and experience with Wide Orbit or similar broadcast traffic systems is highly desirable.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a positive attitude and the ability to work effectively in a team.
Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and quality in all tasks.
Ability to adapt to changing priorities and handle confidential information with discretion.
Knowledge of the broadcasting industry and familiarity with local market dynamics is a plus.

Compensation
Compensation range from $16.00/ hr + commissions
